A short time ago Addie's Angels was able to make a significant contribution to the 'Dreaming for Dryden' fund to assist with expenses for Dryden's stem cell treatment. To see the fantastic results thus far (Dryden is crawling!!!) and find out even more about Dryden, visit: https://www.facebook.com/DreamingForDryden
As you can see, Dryden is an adorable and happy one year old! Dryden has Spina Bifida (which effects his nerves as they are forming and doesn't allow for proper development) and often causes trouble with mobility. Along with Spina Bifida, Dryden has hydrocephalus (fluid build up in the brain). Born in July of 2012, Dryden has had 5 surgeries to date, one to correct his spine, two brain surgeries to place and revise a shunt that regulates the fluid in his brain, and two others that go along with having Spina Bifida. Addie's Angels was able to assist Dryden's family by purchasing a ZipZac II, Zchair to help him get around. Addie's Angels is excited to have made a $500.00 donation to a local St. Tammany Parish Public School student who is currently battling cancer. More details to come soon...

During the Summer of 2012 the St. Tammany Parish School Board introduced Camp Buddy, a one week Summer Camp open to any child with a disability currently enrolled in St. Tammany Parish Schools Special Education Programs between the ages of 7 and 12. Addie's Angels was proud to sponsor tuition for a few students this summer at Camp Buddy.
Gracie (far left, pictured with her grandmother Cardell Butler and Coach Gallagher) is an 8th grader at Slidell Junior High who received a new wheelchair accessible ramp at her Slidell home, as well as a handicap accessible bathtub. All made possible through Addie's Angels.
Angel is a local 1st grader who has several limb differences. In the past it has been difficult for Angel to keep pace with some of her classmates when doing cutting activities, because it was difficult for her to manipulate regular scissors. Addie's Angels, Inc is thrilled to be able to donate an adaptive scissors set to Angel. Now she is speeding through her cutting activities in school just like all the other students!
